Distant and Deserted

Located in the southeastern part of Iran, bordering Afghanistan and Pakistan. Sistan and Baluchestan is the largest province in Iran.
It is home to various ethnic groups, including the Baloch, who make up the majority of the population, as well as the Sistani and the Brahui.
Despite its economic potential, Sistan Baluchestan faces various challenges, including poverty, unemployment, and a lack of infrastructure.

The unique Ghale-no village in Sistan and Baluchistan province stands out as the only village where all the houses are constructed entirely from mud and clay, preserving their authentic architecture. These houses are ingeniously built atop one another, featuring clay and dome roofs.
