Biography 
Azarakhsh K

Azarakhsh became familiar with the photography world at the age of 14, when she
received a Zenit analogue camera on her birthday on behalf of her parents. After a few
years she began her artistic activities with Graphic Design in 2002. As this major included
photography as a main course, she learned developing and printing her photos in the
darkroom of her school.
She was working with her analogue camera for a number of years, but with starting the
Bachelor of Graphic Design and participating in photography classes as a main course,
she jumped into the digital photography area.
Her photographs were presented in several group exhibitions in various art galleries in
Iran. Also, she worked with a few magazines as a photojournalist for a few years.
Alongside these artistic activities, she opened her studio in her hometown. She was
working there as a freelance photographer and graphic designer.
After several years searching and experiencing in various fields of photography such as
documentary, portrait, commercial, aerial, industrial, Azarakhsh switched her artistic
works into the creative artworks and let herself to translate her inner world by this kind of
photography. In her latest works she focused on the human`s body and explored its
relationship with its surroundings.
She left her country Iran in late 2021 and moved to the US to follow her study in the MFA
Studio Art program as a photographer student at the Florida Atlantic University.
