Biography
Oliver Marsden is a photojournalist, writer and director working globally. Most recently he has been covering the aftermath of the explosion in the port of Beirut, documenting the October revolution of 2019/20 and working with NGOs in the Beqaa Valley and Beirut. Prior he was based in Ghana documenting the effects of plastic pollution on the fishing community of Nyanyano. His particular interests are MENA and West Africa, covering humanitarian issues and civil unrest. He has an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the LCC, studied Arabic at SOAS and news writing at the London School of Journalism. He has completed a 4-day Hostile Environment Training Course with First Option Safety. He is currently based in Beirut, Lebanon.
