Biography
Seivan M. Salim is a photographer, photojournalist, and photography educator. “Escaped” is her body of work on the rescued Yazidi women, and has been exhibited in Geneva, Prague, and in a month-long exhibition at the UN headquarters in New York. Her work has also been presented in international publications, among them National Geographic, Le Monde, The Guardian, Associated Press, Daily Beast, Sunday Times, and Daily Mail. Her mission is to deliver eye-catching and impactful human stories through the still image, as a well-crafted image is worth a thousand words.
